Successful Choice Tech Seminar in Bristol

22-05-2015

Even though it was already our 17th Choice Tech Seminar, we never grow tired of seeing a large group of enthusiastic rebuilders walk in the room to learn from the best in the Automotive Industry.

On the 8th and 9th of May the Holiday Inn Bristol (UK) was the place to be. Many of the delegates attended our popular Technical, hands-on section held on Friday afternoon. They were able to take an active part in presentations given by industry leaders such as ZF, LUK, Launch UK and Sonnax.

Once the afternoon session finished, all delegates were invited to join us later in the evening for our pre seminar social get together where people with a common interest could discuss the year's highs, not so highs and generally put the world to rights over an excellent buffet meal and drinks.

-Wayne Colonna, ATSG -

  -Bob Warnke, Sonnax-

Saturday's events were started off by Wayne Colonna of ATSG, presenting a session covering 0B5 and 8HP transmissions, plus second generation TF-60/09G starting 2013 up, this was followed by a welcome return to the UK from Bob Warnke of Sonnax Industries who presented us with a session covering Torque Converter terminology, Converter relationship to shift quality and Transmission isolation in relationship to TC control on a number of late model transmissions

Lunch was followed by the return of Wayne who introduced us to ins and outs of the latest range of 6 speed transmissions from General Motors, 6T40 etc.

Just before the final session a raffle was held, all the delegates names were placed in a container and each of the four lucky winners were picked out by Wayne, Duncan Holloway from AMG won a £500 snap on voucher donated by Corteco, Keith Doughty from D&K Transmissions won a Transtec roll cab donated by Corteco, Sean Porter from Exeter Gearbox Centre won a Launch CRP129 code reader donated by Launch UK and Yoram Levy from Edmonds Garage Israel won the Sonnax vacuum test stand kit donated by Sonnax and Vacuum pump donated by Automatic Choice.
